UTICA, N.Y. (July 9, 2024) –F.X. Matt Brewery has announced that Utica Club will be the official beer of the Boilermaker’s Saranac Post-Race Party on Sunday, July 14th, 2024. 

 

This exciting news comes after an inadvertent clause in legislation passed last year put the ability to serve beer at the iconic Saranac Post Race Party in jeopardy. Fortunately, the region’s elected government officials were on top of that situation, and they worked together to remediate it ahead of the 2024 Boilermaker.

 

“The Boilermaker is grateful for the work that Senator Griffo and Assemblywoman Buttenschon have done in introducing this bill and ushering it through the legislative process. We also very much appreciate Governor Hochul’s prompt attention to getting it signed into law,” said Mark Donovan, Boilermaker President. “Our 14,000 plus runners and countless community members are thankful that they will be able to fully enjoy the iconic Saranac Post Race Party on the second Sunday in July.”

 

The Saranac Post Race Party provides an opportunity to celebrate the achievements of those who run the Boilermaker 15K presented by Excellus BlueCross BlueShield and 5K presented by Utica National Insurance Group. The public is welcome to join the celebration at the Matt Brewery, with festivities starting at 8 am. Highlights of the party include an awards ceremony to recognize the 15K’s top performers, singing of the National Anthem and live entertainment by Showtime and Friends.
